Old Navy Sliver-Wedge Boots in Camel
Normally, I wouldn't consider synthetic leather shoes, but I need to go no holds barred when it comes to finding boots that fit. For reference, I'm 5'3" and 95 pounds with shoe size 7 and calf circumference 13.5".
The Old Navy boots have a shaft circumference of 15". Normally, this would be too big for me. But the reviews on the website were mixed as far as sizing so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Size 7 was sold out so I ordered a size 6.5, which surprisingly fit my foot well. Here are the boots on me:
I know that boot season is nearly over (although I'm not convinced that this winter will EVER end), but knowing me, it will take from now until the Fall to find the right boots.
Oh too bad, I agree that the boots are too big for you. I have the same issue and I'm also looking for a pair of flat boots. They're so hard to find!
ReplyDeleteI agree - they are too big in the calf for you but they looked really good from the front! Good luck on the boot hunt!
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to wonder if this winter will ever end too! ;) On the bright side, now is the best time for boot shopping with all of the new spring lines making their appearances in the stores, there are some serious winter sales going on! I've heard Euro Boots run small in the calves, but I've never tried them out myself. http://www.duoboots.com
ReplyDeleteAww, what a bummer! There is a gap when I wear my boots too, but it's not as noticeable. I do like where the boots hit your legs though. Can we somehow combine our legs together and get the ideal circumference and leg height? :)
ReplyDelete@curls-and-pearlsOh man! Let me know if you find a pair - I'm having such a hard time too.
ReplyDelete@SewPetiteGal Thanks! I tried to delude myself into thinking they looked ok, but when I turned to the side, there was no hiding the fact that these just didn't fit.
ReplyDelete@Callandra Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to check out Euro Boots.
@Cee LOL! You are so so funny! I'd do a combo with you any day! Although we'd better go with your legs on this one - the boots actually fit and look great on you! :)
OMG they are huge! I gave up trying to find boots! Have you tried Steve Madden, they run pretty small..
ReplyDeleteLoeffler Randall has a similar style boot called Matilde and the shaft was still a little loose but not as big as the Old Navys. I have about the same measurements as you. It's a much steeper in price point though.
ReplyDeleteHello! I am following your blog, loving the posts. So sad to see the boots didn't fit. I actually thought I should share with you my review on my petite boots (my recent post), that I had made to measure with my calf and leg height! First time in my life boots fit me perfect! Also they make bigger sizes too. Bit expensive but it was worth the investment. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more from you!

Nice wedge boots and the color is also perfect. A perfect pair with jeans. And you're right, the calf seems big on you but it still takes the cake.
